Year: 2017
Hometown: Lincoln, Mass.
Major/Minor: HSSP and Econ/French and Business
HerCampus: Why Brandeis?Jeff Tan: It was close to home, a small school, and was the best school I got into.
HC: What are you involved in on campus?JT: I’m a brother in Phi Psi. Because I was a mid-year I didn’t really know what clubs I wanted to do, so this semester I really want to join more stuff, such as Waltham Group. I’m also taking five classes, which takes up a lot of time.
HC: What made you decide to pledge a fraternity?JT: I was a mid-year, so I thought it was a great way to branch out and meet as many people as I could. I did it at first just to meet people and be social, but then once I went through the process I made some really, really great, close friends.
HC: Single or Taken?JT: Single.
HC: If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would you choose?JT: Asian, goofy, and funny.
HC: Describe your perfect girl.JT: She has to be able to laugh at me and with me, have a solid personality, and she has to be genuine.
HC: What’s your dream date?JT: A home-cooked meal, maybe a movie, something pretty simple. And it ends with a second date.
HC: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?JT: Definitely in grad school, with an under-paid mediocre job, and with a great girlfriend.
