Hannah Reifer ’15

Major: Business Marketing   Minor: No minor but currently pursuing an ESL (English as a Second Language) certificateHometown: Clearfield, Pennsylvania

Her Campus: What do you enjoy most about your major?Hannah Reifer: I really like all of the business professors that I’ve gotten to know throughout the years, as well as Sutliff (the business building) itself, it’s still so nice and new and a really great part of campus.

HC: What activities are you involved in on campus?HR: I am an active member of Phi Iota Chi, my beloved sorority, where I’ve held community service chairperson and social chairperson positions in the past; I am a recipient of the Board of Governors Scholarship; and I am a Husky PAW (Peer Awareness with Students) in the Drug and Alcohol Wellness Network, where I hold the Greek Life Coordinator position.

HC: I understand that you have studied abroad before, where have you gone and where was your favorite place?HR: Yes, and it was the best thing I have done thus far in my life! Traveling is my passion and I wish I could go everywhere, but I studied abroad in Cameroon, Africa, Ethiopia, Africa, and Moscow, Russia. It’s hard to pick a favorite because all of the places I’ve traveled hold a special place in my heart, but I’m going to have to say Africa.

HC: Do you plan to visit either of those places again?HR: Yes for sure! I plan to go back to Africa this winter break, and I’m actually pursuing my ESL (English as a Second Language) certification this year to be able to teach in an elementary school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia after graduation, as long as everything goes as planned.

HC: What has been your favorite Bloomsburg memory so far?HR: Hmm, good question. The past 3 years have been so much fun. It’s hard to narrow it down to just one memory.  All of the fun themed events with my sorority, studying abroad, and just all of the amazing friends I’ve met along the way have been my favorite memories.

HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?HR: Well, I really just want to just travel the world for the rest of my life, but if I actually have to grow up and be a real person one day, I hope to get my masters and eventually work in the marketing department for a non-profit organization. But who knows! Wherever life takes me is where I’ll be!

HC: What are you going to miss most about Bloomsburg when you graduate in the spring?HR: Everything. This is way too hard of a question to pick just one thing. I tear up thinking about leaving this place and these people in just two short semesters. Bloomsburg has become my home away from home more than I ever thought possible, and I plan to live it up this last year with all my Pixie girls and all the other amazing people I’ve met here!
