This past weekend, I trekked my way downstate to the city that never sleeps to attend the 2014 Her Campus College Fashion Week.  Held at Santos Party House right in the heart of Chinatown, this event was a collegiette fanfare for the ages. Freebies galore and tons of great beauty tips, this event had everything.

TRESemmé provided free hair touch up for those looking to get that perfect haute hair look. While I didn’t  get my locks redone, I did get a great sample of their new 7 Day Keratin smooth  treatment. With natural hair like mine, I’m always looking for great ways to reduce frizz without losing my natural curls.

bareMinerals was there to provide all attendees with free foundation curtesy of the team of fabulous makeup artists at the Shade Shop. They helped find my perfect shade in minutes (mine is Golden tan ) and because it’s bareMinerals, you know your skin is well covered.

I also stopped by the European Wax Center Browfection Bar and got hooked up with some killer eyebrows. I was definitely channeling my inner Cara DeLevingne for the rest of the night. If only I lived in the city, I’d totally take advantage of their free waxing promo they’re currently holding.

If you were willing to wait, Luna Bar was there supplying sweet treats for you and your hands at their mini Mani station.  You could also be the star of your own gif at the Simon Premium Outlets full body photo booth.

While I’m a sucker for fantastic freebies and some good old fashion pampering, I loved the actual show even more! It was so amazing to see an event that was totally driven by the power of collegiettes just like me. From preshow entertainers Nicole DiRosa and Olivia King to the models rocking the latest looks from boohoo fashion , everyone was a college student. It’s always great to see ladies taking charge and being oh-so-fierce while doing it.

It was a packed house at Santos Party House and for good reason too. College Fashion Week was a hit! Having the opportunity to meet with other collegiettes from around the east coast and swapping beauty and fashion tips all night is definitely a great way to spend the weekend.  I’m already looking forward to next years event!
