On Sunday, January 31st, the world was fortunate to view Grease Live on Fox.   Viewers throughout the world “headed back” to Rydell High School to sing and dance along with numbers from the original 1978 movie-musical, Grease.  This cast and crew were no small group of people as the production included over 600 people.

The show opened with enthusiasm and excitement as Jessie J had the opening number, singing Grease is the Word.  She rocked out in the rain, moving and grooving and making everyone feel the energy of the cast.  Jessie J sang with Boyz UU Men creating an amazing harmony.  No amount of rain could stop this cast from still sounding amazing!

Grease Live was unique in that there was an actual audience watching while filming the show.  The applause of fans just added to the performance.  Viewers felt like they were entering into Rydell High School as the scenes so smoothly transitioned from one to the next.

The cast was a mixed and eccentric crew including Julianne Hough playing Sandy, Aaron Tveit as Danny and Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo.  Vanessa Hudgens dedicated the show to her father who passed a way two days before the show.  She managed to perform spectacularly and gracefully.

If you missed the show, you can still watch it on Hulu and Fox Now!
