It is very well known that Blair Waldorf is the OG, ultimate queen and if you don’t know, well you are doing it all wrong. While in the beginning she comes off as a snobby, somewhat “brat-like” teen, we watch as she grows into a respectable, still sassy of course, adult who would do whatever it takes to fight for herself, her loved ones, and for what she believes in. For years we have admired her strength and of course her amazing fashion sense, but in case you do not remember, I am here to remind you.
1.“Well here’s my advice: Have a little faith, and if that doesn’t’t work, a lot of mimosas.”
It is incredibly important to have faith in our lives, if we do not have faith, it’s hard to believe in anything really. Though this is so, we cannot forget how important it is to let loose and understand that some things do not work out, but that is okay. Follow Blair’s advice and have a few mimosas if things seem to be going awry. I promise you will not regret it.
2. “ Life is tough, Serena, just get a Helmet.”
Yes, while at first glance this seems a bit tough and maybe even a bit mean, we all have to admit that the girl has a point, then we admire her outlook on life. Life is tough, it will knock you down and spin you in all sorts of directions but that does not mean you have to give it all up and quit. Blair shows that we are all capable of sustaining anything, and there is nothing wrong with getting some help.
3. “Nothing’s holding me back. I know what I want, and I’m going to get it. “
Now THAT’s what I call a “go-getter.” There is nothing better than a strong, independent woman going after what she wants, because that is how we all should be. It takes work, I know, but I truly believe that we can get there. As long as we hold our heads high and be unapologetically ourselves, we can do absolutely anything. Thank you Blair, for teaching us just that.
4. “You deserve a guy who would move mountains to be with you if he had too.”
Well Blair, don’t we all! *insert clapping emojis* We are too powerful, unique and beautiful to let just any guy push us around. We deserved to be loved and fought for, and honey if we are gonna fight for you, you better be freaking worth it!
5. “What I want, is to be a powerful woman”
Oh girl, if you only knew that is exactly who you are. It is exactly who we all are.
I know what your are probably thinking. Is Blair truly the strong woman that young girls should be looking up to? Yes, I can see that she can come off as a bit “much” and sometimes harsh, but these quotes prove that while she may not be your typical role model, she is most definitely one and deep down has a heart of gold. It is so important, especially in the world we live in today, for women of all ages to stand up for what they believe in and fight for that they truly deserve. Blair was willing to do whatever she deemed necessary to stand up for herself and to show her true worth. Now if that is not a role model, I don’t know what is. Prove em’ wrong, be tough and continue to be as strong as everyone out there may not think possible.
Can we continue to make Blair Waldorf proud? That’s one secret I’ll never tell.
