For all of you Pinterest-savvy ladies out there, the links to the outfit pins are at the bottom of this article. All other photos were taken by Abby, because she’s just that good.
1. Brown Riding Boots
We may not all ride horses, but we sure do need these bad boys. What else would we wear our tall knit socks with?
2. Vest
Quilted, and in EVERY color. These are a necessity here in New England. Not only do they go with everything, they keep you cozy when it’s still too warm for a full coat.
3. Chambray Shirt Dress
These are awesome. I have been looking for one for a while and recently found one I fell in love with. Let me tell you, it was one of those Holy Grail moments. But please ladies, make sure it is actually supposed to be a dress and not just a long shirt. (No one wants to see that in class).
4. Blanket Scarf
My love for blanket scarves is undying. You can wear them in a thousand ways. The possibilities are endless! Plus, if you want to spontaneously picnic in the park you already have the perfect solution.
5. Flannel Shirt
Channel your inner lumberjack and rock these all season long. You have one? Cool, now go pick yourself up about twelve more in every color, because yes, you DO need them.
6. Button Down Shirt
Pop your collar like its 1983. Just kidding, please don’t. But in all seriousness, these are essential to your fall wardrobe.
7. Thin Knit Sweater
The world’s BEST layering piece. Throw on a shirt underneath and you’ve gone from boring, to “wow she is so prepared for a variety of weather conditions!”
8. Booties
When you aren’t feeling the tall ones, these bring a little punch to your outfit. Since I am vertically challenged, I greatly appreciate the extra two inches I get from mine (#blessed).
9. Boyfriend Jeans
My grandma always yells at me when I wear these around her, so avoid wearing them around yours. If not, you could hear something along the lines of, “Why are you wearing pants with holes in them, I can buy you new ones!” Other than that, these are an incredibly durable piece. Pair with some converse, a v-neck, and a comfy cardigan and you’re golden.
10. Pleated skirt
Everyone always questions why I always wear skirts, but the truth is what’s better than not having to wear pants? Let yo legs be free girlfriend. Plus, these things go with everything. You seriously can wear this with almost anything else on this list.
