You’ve probably heard of Sheryl Sandberg’s book Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead. Well here’s a special offer for all you Her Campus BC readers from LeanIn.Org, Sheryl Sandberg’s women’s empowerment organization.
You’re invited to their 2014-2015 Campus Kickoff this week! You also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with Sheryl and Lean In President Rachel Thomas specifically for you to get a sneak peak of what we have planned and answer questions on how students on your campus can get involved.
The Livestream discussion will be Thursday, September 18th with Sheryl, the LeanIn.Org team and Lean In Circle members to launch this year’s Lean In Circles on campuses. Circles are small groups (an average of 10 members, both women and men welcome) that meet regularly to learn and grow together.
In less than a year and a half, the community has grown to over 20,000 Circles in 73 countries—and on 350 college campuses. The LeanIn team uses these circles to hear from students. Students with Circle membership say it has led to positive outcomes in their lives, pushed them to take on new challenges and helped them believe more in their own potential.
You also have the special opportunity to get your own questions in a video chat on Shindig TOMORROW – Monday, September 15th with Sheryl Sandberg and campus correspondents.
