Super involved, beautiful, bubbly, and talented, meet this week’s amazing Campus Cutie Kate Weidenman!
The Basics:
Name: Kate Christie
Hometown: Syosset, NY
Year: 2016
Major: Theatre and Applied Psychology & Human Development
BC Life:
Activities/Clubs: University Chorale of Boston College, Senior Class Gift Committee, Theatre, and After Hours
Best class: Musical Theatre Performance or Creative Dramatics
Worst class: Weather, Climate, and the Environment (to be honest I’m not even sure if that’s the correct name)
Bapst or O’Neill: Bapst. By Far. I love feeling like Hermione.
Favorite place to eat on campus: Addie’s
A Little Bit More About Kate:
Biggest pet peeve: Lisps. And when people don’t listen.
One thing most excited about for senior year: I’m so excited for Commencement Ball, but I can also wait because commencement means graduation.
Favorite ice cream flavor: Vanilla. I’m not a fan of chocolate in general.
Favorite BC experience: Appa Trips both freshman and sophomore year.
Why BC? I originally really wanted to go to Notre Dame and I didn’t get in, so naturally I chose BC.
Fun fact: I performed at Carnegie Hall twice when I was little with my violin group.
Favorite TV show: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Celeb crush: Unquestioningly, Liam Hemsworth. I also love Ellen though; I would die to meet her.
Guilty pleasure: Pretty Little Liars
Dream job: Disney Princess either Belle or Rapunzel
Favorite hangout spot on campus: The Green Room (I swear it’s real)
Most embarrassing moment: Attending a Drag Queen show, by myself, because I thought the show was just a spoof on Disney characters.
Taken/Single: It’s complicated
Ideal date: I would love to be surprised with a scavenger hunt or some sort of daily adventure.
Deal breakers: I need a man who will listen to and appreciate musical theatre songs on long car trips with me.
Advice to freshmen: Don’t try to fit in, do what you love and you’ll be successful.
Song of the moment: Dollhouse by Priscilla Renea
Senior year bucket list item: Wear a robe to class.
Personal motto: Fear less, hope more.
So whether you’re grabbing dinner at Addie’s or watching the latest musical at Robsham, be sure to look for Kate!
