Best Products for Winter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Snowball fights, hot chocolate, and fuzzy socks, the winter months bring about a lot of fun. That being said, there is one major downfall of the winter cold—chapped lips and hands.

So, in order to help you out, here are some of the best products to keep your skin healthy and smooth through the next couple of months.

LIPS

1.     EOS Balm

This product is raved about by many and for the right reason. EOS balm comes in tons of amazing flavors from strawberry kiwi to vanilla mint. EOS balm is made from shea butter and is 99% natural, but what really makes it worth it is that there is no sticky residue from using this product. Kiss away!

2.     Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

The beeswax in this product is what makes it so super soft and smooth, and the peppermint oil is what gives it its bonus after application tingle. Loved by people by all ages, this lip balm deserves to be in your winter product line up.

3.     Aquaphor

This product is recommended by dermatologists for those going through Accutane, because chapped lips is a major side effect of the product. So if it’s the number one suggestion by doctors from major dry skin, then the fact that it works on hands and lips should convince you.

HAND CREAMS

1.     Cetaphil

This hand cream can be found at any drug store and is perfect because it comes in all sizes. There is small one for your purse and a medium sized one for your desk.

2.     Aveda Hand Cream

Although this cream is normally used by older generations, they use it for a reason. This product really moistures and helps your chapped skin without any over-powerful scents. This is great for sensitive skin.

In the end, there are a ton of products to choose from, but the important fact is that you dedicate time to your routine to take care of your skin.

Since I am from Florida, I can legitimately say that I love long walks on the beach. I also love getting lost in a world fabricated by a novel, there is honestly nothing better.
