What to Do When Nemo Snows You In

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Amherst chapter.

Unlike its fish counterpart, Blizzard Nemo is pretty easy to find.  All you have to do is look out your window.  Sorry for the awful pun.  Since when is naming snowstorms a thing, anyway?  At this point we’re expecting well more than two feet, so if you’re bored and stuck inside, here are a few ways to entertain yourself:

Have a movies-set-in-Paris marathon.  Start with Ratatouille, follow with Two Days in Paris and Midnight in Paris, and then round it off with a nice tear-jerker, Moulin Rouge.

Get a kick-start on your spring break bikini bod.  Sadie Nardini has great power yoga videos like this one on YouTube that you can easily do in your room.  The free Nike Training app also has lots of great cardio and strength workouts that you can do anywhere.

Google image “Spring Break”, and daydream about the warm and wonderful place you’ll hopefully be at in just five weeks.  Along the same lines, check out National Geographic Travel or other travel sites and blogs and let yourself escape the frigid pioneer valley for an afternoon.

Spend two hours on buzzfeed.com.  This site never gets old.  Make sure to check out The 26 Funniest Responses to Passive Aggressive Notes.

Have an old fashioned slumber party!  My friends and I are heading over to Chapman with our blankets and pillows to make frozen pizza, play Catch Phrase and Cards Against Humanity (the politically incorrect version of Apples to Apples), and snuggle.  Since the weather outside is frightful, might as well get cozy!
