Craziest Thing You’ve Ever Done: I was in Chile during the Copa America this year. After Chile won the semi-finals, I went to Plaza Italia where Chileans congregate after games to rally and celebrate. My friends and I joined the huge crowd that was celebrating, drinking, and climbing the main statue. After things got out of hand and people started lighting flares, riot police came in and broke up the crowd. They marched in with riot gear and sprayed pepper spray out of cannons mounted on trucks. We were stuck with the carabineros in front of us and the river behind us. After the police directed the cannons towards us, we started to run, trying to get through the crowd and run away from the falling pepper spray.
