We are now well into November and Winter has slowly been approaching. Who doesn’t love fluffy jumpers, Starbucks Christmas drinks, comfort food, as well as the holidays and more? However, one of the best parts of this time of year (especially for beauty lovers) is the release of beauty brands’ Holiday Collections. This year there have been some great limited edition releases that will make great gifts. But you’ll have to get them before they are gone!
MAC
The most extensive holiday collection this year is MAC’s “Heirloom Mix” collection. Each of the products comes in sparkly packaging rather than MAC’s traditional black packaging. This collection is highly sophisticated and inspired by regal and rich colors and shades. Many of the products are glittery and jewel toned which is a great fit for the holiday season. The collection includes: eight frosty pressed pigments; two limited shades of glitter in royal purple and gold; two fluid line eyeliners; five deep and bold lip colours; five lip gloss shades; and much more. The collection also features keepsake palettes for the eyes and face with beautiful packaging and a variety of shades.
Nars
Nars has also released a great holiday collection this year called “Laced with Edge”. It features limited edition patterned laser cut packaging and a few limited edition products including three jewel toned eye shadow shades and nail varnish shades, three limited edition lipstick shades with similar lip gloss shades and a gorgeous limited edition Tan Rose blush. Nars have also released the limited edition “Virtual Domination Cheek Palette” with four blush shades and the iconic Laguna bronzer in one. What more could you want from a Holiday Collection?
Chanel
What is the holiday season without a little bit of luxury? Chanel certainly captures luxury with their holiday collection this year. The collection contains a subtle limited edition blush shade, two new limited edition lipstick colours, a wintery white eye shadow stylo, a peachy pink cream eye shadow and more! The most exciting product is the “Camellia de Plume Highlighting Powder”. It is a luxury gold and silver highlighting powder, inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s original Fine Jewellery creations, embossed with a feather pattern arranged in the shape of a Camellia flower.
Marc Jacobs Beauty
Marc Jacobs hasn’t disappointed with his holiday releases this year either. The best item in his collection is a limited edition eye shadow palette called “The Parisienne”. This palette features seven cool smoky shades inspired by Paris at night. There is also a limited edition indigo blue nail varnish in the collection called “Midnight in Paris”. And for all the Francophiles out there, Marc has also released a number of limited edition beauty sets with a few items in each all inspired by Paris.
Charlotte Tilbury
Makeup Artist Charlotte Tilbury has added some great products to her makeup line for the holidays. She has released a beautiful limited edition eye shadow quad named “Fallen Angel”, with the traditional burgundy and rose gold packaging but with the added edition of stars for the holiday season. The quad has four gorgeous shades that are great for winter, all with stars embossed into them. This quad would be perfect for Christmas party makeup! She has also released a trio of mini lipstick charms–a great gift for a friend!
Urban Decay
This release, just in time for the holidays, is a must have for any beauty lover’s Christmas wish list. Urban Decay have released the “Naked Vault” collection. This is a limited edition deluxe set with all three of the coveted Naked Palettes, 3 double ended 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils, 3 Naked Flush Blush Palettes and 3 different shades of the Naked lip gloss. This set is selling out fast so hurry up before they are gone! Urban Decay have also released limited edition sets of some of their products too, such as eye shadow palettes and eyeliner sets, if you can’t manage to get your hands on the “Naked Vault”.
Ciaté
Ciaté may have released the cutest holiday beauty product ever this year. Instead of a traditional chocolate advent calendar, why not treat yourself to a nail polish advent calendar? The set comes with 24 mini nail polishes perfect for the countdown to Christmas, all behind little windows to open. As an added bonus all the shades are limited edition too! (maybe still treat yourself to a chocolate advent calendar too though.
