Smorgasburg: A Foodie’s Dream

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Adelphi chapter.

Ever dream of being surrounded by food?? Delicious food, exotic food, comfort food, any and all types of food that you can possibly imagine? That’s what Smorgasburg is, a dream come true.

Think of a type of food that you want to try…like, say, frozen cheesecake! I didn’t even know this was a thing and yet it is something that makes my mouth water just thinking of it. And where else could I be transported back to France for 5 minutes because of the deliciously yummy raclette sandwiches?

A personal favorite beverage of mine is coconut water, so I was over the moon when I saw them chopping the tops off and sliding straws in. If a coconut isn’t something that you salivate over, then there is a stand where you can get an array of fruits with fresh juice in them, as I’m sure we’ve all seen on Instagram (this is the basic Smorgasburg picture that people take because hey, where else will you carry around a watermelon or a pineapple full of juice???)

But hey, there’s nothing wrong with being basic every once in a while!

It’s a magical place where you can smell philly cheesesteaks in all their glory and then walk a couple paces to where a man has decided to make mini breakfasts that are the size of a circle you make with your index finger and thumb, they look like they could feed the Whos (Dr. Seuss, not the band).

And finally we get to the best part of any meal…dessert!!! I went for a delicious Wowfulls creation with waffles and crazy vanilla ice cream topped with fruity pebbles…so basically my childhood dream.

10/10 I think you should go to Smorgasburg, go experience a food lover’s dream, for more info click here!! Hurry because it closes this month!!!!!
