Uh, So Apparently Comey Sang Some Beyoncé Slow Jams During An FBI Briefing Meeting

If you’ve ever thought that “FBI director” is one of those jobs you just can’t relate to, then think again. Because if you’ve ever sung Beyonce at work (and I know you have), then, boom, you have something in common with former FBI director James Comey.

When promoting the release of his new book, A Higher Loyalty, Comey spoke with PBS NewsHour, whom he told that he once received a counterintelligence case with the code name “Sandcastles.”

“They always have weird code names,” Comey told PBS NewsHour. “It was ‘Sandcastles,’ and so I said ‘Beyoncé!’ And I was the only one in the room who had any idea what I was talking about. People were like ‘What?’ I said, ‘We built sandcastles’ — Honest to God, I sung like that.”

“Sandcastles” is the eighth track on Beyonce’s album “Lemonade”, and is also probably one of the most beautiful songs ever released.

As Elle noted, “The audacity of anyone who thinks they can sing ‘Sandcastles’ is stunning. Bey did not resurrect herself in a sacred ceremony on the grounds of a haunted New Orleans mansion for you to stretch for the range, my friend.”

Comey also said he also enjoys listening to Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar, which we can’t argue with. Comey, now that you’re done being FBI director, wanna go to a concert or something sometime?
