Join CareerApp and Blueprint Your Career!

A new site called CareerApp is here to help you make yourself a more marketable entity for companies in your field! Everyone knows what a great tool LinkedIn profiles have become for networking purposes. Well, CareerApp imports the information that you already have on your LinkedIn profile, then goes beyond the basics to offer potential employers a more well-rounded picture of the kind of intern or employee you are.

After your basic information, résumé, web presence, education, and work experience are filled in, CareerApp asks you about your technical skills with things like HTML, Flash, Git, Python, and more, then clarifies whether your skills with those programs are on the basic, proficient, or expert level. They then ask you to select five of your most prominent personal skills, like whether you’re self-motivated, a great public speaker, work well on your own, or are a talented editor.

Then CareerApp probes deeper, asking your passions and hobbies, goals, and your awards and certifications. They even ask you some common interview questions you might hear when meeting with a potential employer. You’re asked to list your office preferences and references, then to take some skill tests.

CareerApp takes the work off of the shoulders of potential employers. Rather than trying to get an accurate impression of you simply from your résumé and cover letter, then having to seek out your LinkedIn profile and find time to interview you themselves, they can simply go to CareerApp and find out all of the relevant information about you in one fell swoop. They can search for people by skill set, experience level, or awards and certifications, so if you fit the position they’re trying to fill, employers may reach out to contact you!

However, if you’re too antsy to wait for employers to come to you, CareerApp also has a section where you can browse available job opportunities, and you can apply straight from the site.

Trying to snag internship and employment opportunities can be a stressful process, but this website definitely takes some weight off of your shoulders. Sign up at CareerApp.me today and start making your profile so that you don’t just get a job, you get the job you’ve been hoping for!
