Improve Your College Applications with StatFuse.com

Last month we learned about StatFuse.com, a game-changing platform that provides high school students with their chances of college admission (check out the article here). We talked about StatFuse’s “chanculator” tool, which uses a special algorithm to churn out acceptance percentages by looking at your academic and personal background. Recently StatFuse unveiled an additional aspect of their site that will disrupt the college admissions space even further!

StatFuse has built on their awesome platform and made a new system that gives pre-collegiettes a more in-depth analysis of their college applications. Not only will they provide you with your chances of getting in, but they’ll also give you some key feedback, insights and actions steps you can take to raise your chances between now and when you click the submit button!

Just like before, you start by logging into StatFuse.com and going to your dashboard. You’re then required to answer various (quick and easy) questions about your academic profile, extracurricular activities and personal background. From there, you’ll receive a percentage that reflects your odds of admissions versus the average student applying. But now, this is where the cool new component comes in: they’ll give you an in-depth report that analyzes your app in detail, section by section.

StatFuse’s new technology allows you to find out the strengths, weaknesses and analyses of all aspects of your applications in order for you to improve on them. For example, you may find out that you should get involved in more extracurriculars, take another foreign language class, or do some volunteer work in order to up your chances. And the best part? StatFuse gives you advice based on what the specific university is interested in, so each piece of advice is tailored to both you and the school you’re looking at. For example, you may learn that you’ll need to increase your GPA for Harvard, up your SAT scores for UConn, or get a couple more recommendations in order to get into Princeton. It all depends on what you have and what the university wants!

Before, the process ended with a percentage. And while that was fun and helpful in itself, you can’t deny that it’ll be awesome to get some personal feedback on your applications instantly! This neat new technology essentially acts as a college counselor or private college coach. StatFuse fills that gap for those who don’t have access to counselors and coaches with this completely free tool. All you have to do is sign up, start calculating, and see how you can improve!
