We Finally Have A Premiere Date & Teaser For ‘Orange Is The New Black’ Season 6 & OMG

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here—Orange Is The New Black is coming back for a new season and we have the teaser and the date to prove it. The show’s official Twitter page posted the teaser with the caption, “Bye, bye Litch.” In the teaser showing the seemingly abandoned prison, OITNB announced it would return for season 6 on July 27.

Judging by the quick clip and caption, the women are leaving Litchfield and going to a place being referred to as ” a new world.” The last season ended with a bunker blowing up with 10 inmates inside and we have *no* idea what’s going to happen to them.  But, we have a little insight. Actress Adrienne C. Moore, a.k.a. Cindy in the series, told The New Yorker that this season will get a bit of a “facelift.”

“Toward the end of season five, there were some people that were agreeing to stick together, and there were some people that were looking out for themselves,” Moore said. “We’ll see the repercussions of those decisions in this next season.” OMG. Is anyone else feeling super impatient?

It’s only a little over a month away, but I know this season will be totally binge-worthy. Time to re-watch the previous seasons to pass the time spent waiting for season six. Who needs responsibilities, right?
