We’ve been dying to know more about Emma Watson as Belle in the upcoming live-adaptation of Beauty & The Beast, and this new teaser is exactly what we’ve been waiting for. Though all we get is a small glimpse, it’s just what we needed to keep us going until the film is released March 2017.
Just as in the original story, a rose makes a magical appearance at the end of the teaser. Over the years, the rose has become a symbol of Beauty and The Beast, signifying the curse that turns the prince into a beast at the hands of an enchantress. The curse won’t be lifted until he finds someone who loves him in return. Unfortunately, he is also dealing with a countdown beginning when he turns 20 years old, as he has to find love before the rose wilts and dies. In the teaser, we get a closeup of Emma Watson examining the rose in its case before “Be Our Guest” appears in gold letters.
Unfortunately, it appears we’ll have to wait to actually see Watson in the iconic yellow dress, although we have a feeling it will be well worth the wait. If the teaser is any indication, this live-action picture will certainly be a magical production.
