‘Girls’ Proves You Can Be an Adult & Still Have No Idea What You’re Doing

College is supposed to be this time of self-discovery, when you figure out who you are and what you want to do with your life. But those four years can go by pretty quickly, and suddenly you’re out there in the world trying to do grown-up things like find a job, file your taxes and pay rent. The worst part is, it seems like all your peers have it all together, while you’re just over here trying to cook an edible meal that involves more than sticking something in the microwave.

So, BLESS Lena Dunham, because Girls is proof that “finding yourself” doesn’t have to happen in the four short years that college provides. The latest Girls preview shows Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna in various stages of life— from doing nude shoots to living in Japan with (rather enviable) pink hair—that have nothing to do with being a real adult as we imagined adulthood would be like.

Bonus: the teaser above is confirmation that Adam Driver will indeed be making an appearance (YES). Catch the Season 5 premiere on HBO or HBO Now February 21 at 10/9C—and revel in the fact that it’s okay to be a hot mess… at least for a few more years.
