This Awkward Lady Gaga Run-In Will Definitely Win Leonardo DiCaprio That Oscar

First of all, Lady Gaga was the cutest when she won her first Golden Globe for American Horror Story: Hotel last night. But the moment that everyone is still talking about? When Gaga—who, let’s be honest, is a goddess in human form—brushed up against Leonardo DiCaprio’s arm on her way to the stage, causing him to touch a non-model with about as much brains, beauty and talent as one could wish for.

Naturally, the Internet quickly exploded and GIFs and Vines of the strange interaction popped up everywhere.

We like to think Leo’s shamefully awkward reaction was uncontrollable excitement, which radiated throughout his entire body. Because, sir, you should consider Gaga’s graze a straight-up honor.

When Entertainment Tonight quizzed Leo backstage about the viral incident, his response was, again, mostly stunned: “Oh lord—that’s trending, huh? I just didn’t know what was passing me, that’s all!”

Hmm…while that sounds like a totally believable explanation, should Leo make it to the Oscars—as nearly everyone on the face of the planet hopes will happen—we’re sure more of his weirdly entertaining facial expressions are on the horizon.
