6 Celebrities We’d Love to See Host the 2017 Golden Globes

As with any award show, the person hosting is what makes it fun to watch and keeps us entertained. This year, Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globes for the fourth time—and as much as we love him, it’s time to pass the torch. So who should be crowned as host for the 2017 Golden Globes? We’ve come up with a list of potential celebs (and celeb duos) who we think would make perfect hosts!

1. Amy Schumer & Jennifer Lawrence

Why have one amazing host when you can have two? As we saw during their bit on last night’s Golden Globes, Amy and Jennifer could make an amazing power duo as hosts! With enough personality between the two, it would be a show no one would forget! Bonus: GIRL. POWER.

2. Jamie Foxx

No one is as bold as Jamie when it comes to making people laugh! His “mistake,” poking fun at Steve Harvey’s Miss America winner mixup, made all of our nights.

3. Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen showed off her hosting skills at the 2014 Oscars. At what normally would have been a pretty modest awards show, Ellen changed the rules and gave the role of hosting a complete makeover! Getting to see her host again would be just right with us.

4. Brad Pitt & Ryan Gosling

We could stare at these two on screen all day any day. Enough said!

5. Kevin Hart

No stranger to hosting awards shows is seasoned comedian, Kevin Hart. Guaranteed to keep us laughing for hours, having him host next year’s Golden Globes would be keeping us laughing all night.

6. Jim Carrey

A veteran to the world of comedy is the great Jim Carrey. His energetic personality and classic jokes would be a supreme addition to the Golden Globes!

Who’s on your list for potential hosts?

Kristen Adaway is a sophomore at the University of Georgia with a slight obsession of Twizzlers, writing and watching corny Lifetime flicks. When she's not consumed with meetings in almost every organization on campus, you can find her writing at Slant News or rocking out to Rihanna in her room. Kristen is pursuing a degree in Journalism with a minor in Sociology, and hopes to one day write for a digital publication.
