Sea Change: The perfect summer read

It’s summertime and one of the best things to do is lounge outside and read a good book. I’m always on the quest for the perfect read and I found one I wanted to share with all of you! It’s called “Sea Change” and it’s by Aimee Friedman.

Originally released in June 2009, the book was recently released in paperback. I received a copy of the book and devoured it quite quickly because it’s so addicting! “Sea Change” follows sixteen-year-old Miranda Merchant—great at science but not with boys—throughout her summer adventures on the small, mysterious Selkie Island. Miranda visits Selkie Island to help her mom deal with her late grandmother’s estate, but she ends up getting a lot more than she bargained for when she steps foot on this mystical island.

Miranda meets Leo—a handsome, charming boy who makes her rethink her feelings about romance and reality. Leo seems so perfect but Miranda, always logical, can’t help but think he has a mysterious secret. This book has romance, mystery and a fun summer backdrop, and I think you’ll all love it!

Even better, you can win a copy just for being a Her Campus reader! Enter the giveaway here and happy reading, everyone!
