Ever wished you could try on nail colors at the salon without making a gloppy mess or struggling with sample nails? Meet Emma Young, who noticed the problem at her local salon, and got creative. “I was looking at the nail options, and the nail salon I go to has them glued inside the book so you can’t put your finger under it to see how it looks,” she told Buzzfeed. She immediately thought of Snapchat’s create your own sticker feature, and violà, a bona fide beauty hack was born.

Basically, all you have to do is open up the app, snap a picture of the sample nail you’re interested in and trace around it until you get a sticker you can place over your own nail! No more sticky rainbow hands that your manicurist has to spend five minutes wiping away!
