Mission Mascara Week 3

Sometimes you want a little drama with your lashes, but you don’t always have the time (or desire) to apply fake lashes. And if you’ve been reading any magazines or watching any TV as of late, you’ve likely heard about a solution to this dilemma: Maybelline New York’s The Falsies by Volum’ Express

The Falsies mascara has been in magazine ads all over the place and has been gaining attention because it claims to do what no other mascara can do: give off the appearance of false lashes. When I first read about this product, I had two immediate reactions: extreme excitement (hey, I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m literally obsessed with mascaras) and sage skepticism.

Sure, I’d been a big fan of Maybelline’s mascaras for several years, but I wasn’t sure if this one would actually give off the appearance of fake lashes. Boy was I wrong!

This mascara has quickly become one of my favorite mascaras and I’m here to tell you to believe the hype: Yes it does make your lashes look amazing! I tested out the Falsies Waterproof Mascara in Very Black on the way to an appointment at the eye doctor last week, and the technician there even commented on how long my lashes looked. My lashes looked even more amazing because I made sure to curl them before applying the mascara.

The secret behind this mascara’s success is its spoon-shaped brush with its innovative, flexor stem wand that sits perfectly along your lash line. It’s shaped so perfectly and helps you reach even the hard-to-reach edges of your lashes. The Falsies’ Pro-Keratin fiber-enriched formula instantly plumps your lashes and helps to fill in pesky gaps.

One word of advice, ladies, make sure you have a great makeup remover when using the waterproof Falsies because it sure does stay on for the duration!

Where can I buy it and what does it cost?

The suggested retail price for the Falsies is $7.77 and you can purchase it at mass retailers nationwide. It’s available in the following washable shades: Blackest Black, Very Black and Brownish Black and in the following waterproof shades: Very Black and Brownish Black.
