Even though I’m nowhere nearly as fashionable or generally awesome as Cupcakes and Cashmere blogger Emily Schuman, her posts are a great source of inspiration and procrastination. But, given we’re a mostly poor (ehem, upper-middle class) group of college students, the items and places she writes about can seem more like a dream than something we can replicate in campus life. So, being the overly ambitious freshman I am, each week I’m attempting to compile Five Things from fashion pieces to Dewick delicacies, that make The Hill awesome. It’s all inspired by Emily, but tailored to Tufts.

.) The sunset over South Hall, i.e. Hogwarts, Saturday night

.) A necklace from my best friend’s mom, an accessory that made the transition to college easier

.) Gilmore Girls-inspired mug from Luke’s Diner

.) Clutch Bed Bath & Beyond tray… without it, my roommate would lack any space on top of the dresser

.) Soft serve ice cream from Dewick, topped with whipped cream. Freshman 15, anyone?
