Workout Like Nina Dobrev This Spring Break With These 9 Exercises From Her Trainer

Whether you’re studying intensely for midterms or trying to forget their looming existence, you can’t help but daydream about the spring break vacation that’s just around the corner. In the event that you’re headed somewhere warm and tropical, or just looking to spice up your workout, you’re in luck! Her Campus recently teamed up with Lissa Bankston, Nina Dobrev’s trainer and Reebok athlete, to bring you the perfect moves you can do anywhere and anytime. All you need is yourself and the motivation to get through these fun, muscle-building exercises.

If you’re looking at the workout below and don’t think you can conquer it, Bankston recommends being active throughout the entire day instead of designating a specific time for exercise. “We tend to keep workouts to a specific time frame with a specific response on the body (sweat, burn, sore, breathing heavy) to identify success. Instead, commit to having fun and being active,” she says.

“The best part about a spring break environment is that you are with your friends! So make it fun and keep moving!  Play kickball at sunset every night (who knows, you could draw a crowd and meet new people), swim in the ocean, bike to restaurants and shopping.  If you are rough on your body, this is also great active recovery!"

And after you’ve finished your workout or have been active all day, don’t forget to let loose and have fun! Bankston’s advice? “Bar hop! Never post up at a beach bar,” she says. “[Have] one drink max and then move on and explore. There is way too much fun to be had than to sit in one place!”
