Name: Steven Benoit Ménard
Program: Bachelor of commerce (Bcom) Entrepreneurship
Year of graduation: 2015
Age: 20 years old
Hometown: Repentigny, QC
Relationship Status: Single

What do you look for in your significant other?
I like girls who are mysterious, but who also have a lot of character. I’m a pretty calm person on my own, but I’d still like a lot of action in my relationship. Basically I’m not that picky.

What turns you off?
I hate it when girls are possessive. I don’t want to be possessed. I’m not an object.

What is the worst experience you’ve ever had with a girl?
I had been really good friends with this girl and everything was going well, until she started to think I was into her. She would tell her friends that I had a crush on her, even though it wasn’t the case. Finally, she asked me if I was into her. Of course, I said I wasn’t and she understood. At first it was awkward, but now we’re very good friends again so everything ended well. J

Who is your celebrity crush?
I would say Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel or simply any Victoria’s secret models.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Ten years from now, I see myself with a stable career and life. I would have my own house. Maybe I will be living with a steady girlfriend, or even my wife. I’d often do barbecues with friends and enjoy time while it passes.

Would you prefer living in the city or in the country?
I’d rather live in the country and work in town. Preferably, I’d be able to fly my helicopter to work (It’s on my Christmas list haha), but otherwise I’d live in the suburbs not too far. Or, I’d have a loft close to my work and a big cottage that I’d go to during weekends.

Biggest turn offs: Social media addicts. Living life is way too much fun to worry about posts and likes.

Name: Zach Rickards
Year: Senior
Major: Computer and Electrical Engineering
Hometown: Frankford, DE
Relationship Status: Taken

If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be and why?
Zach Rickards: I would describe myself by the word determined. My past from growing up was never
the greatest situation and can still be rocky at times today; however, I have always strived to complete
the goals I set before me.

What are your future career goals?
In the near future I am striving to be employed in the Raleigh/ Durham, NC area, where I will start
as an entry level engineer. When I look ten to fifteen years from now, I would like to progress to the
management side of the business world or move into entrepreneurship..

What are some of your hobbies?
Growing up I was a boy scout, which allowed me to acquire a lot of outdoor activities, such as
snowboarding, skiing, fishing, camping, canoeing, kayaking, and the list goes on. I am also a die-hard
sports fan and by being a computer engineer, I can admit to being hooked to a video game from time to
time.

What are the top five most played songs on your iTunes?
Life Less Ordinary, Let Your Troubles Roll By, What About Everything?, which are all by
Carbon Leaf. Then there is Payphone by Maroon 5 and Springsteen by Eric Church. This is a new
computer and I recently transferred all my music in, so in few months this may be different.

What are your words to live by?
If I had a saying or some words to live by, I would have to choose, “We decide and shape our own
future.” The beauty of life is that if there is something you want or a goal you want to achieve, you
have the opportunity to make that real. Of course, we all might run into some adversity, but never give
up and eventually things will come around.

Celebrity Crush: Jessica Alba

Describe your ideal date in Blacksburg?
If I were to plan a date for my girlfriend when she was in town visiting, I think I would choose
to incorporate a little of every part of Blacksburg into the occasion. I would include one of our great
hiking trails after packing a backpack or basket for lunch to eat at the top. Once we arrived home from
the trip, I would take a stroll around the duck pond and maybe feed some ducks. Dinner would either
be Poor Billy’s or 610 Rosemont, and the night would be finished off with a movie or enjoying the
company of some friends at one of our local establishments.

What do you look for in a girl?
My key quality that I look for in a girl is confidence. Personally I believe that being confident and
content with oneself is necessary for anyone before being that way with another person. Some other
qualities I look for are what type of personality she has, whether that personality is selfish, caring, etc.,
and I would be looking for the caring, but funny type. Definitely look for a girl I can have fun with and
be best friends with, along with the other parts of a relationship.

Name: Sean Shakespeare
Hometown: Walpole, Massachusetts
Major: Economics or Political Science
College: Timothy Dwight

At 7:10pm I found out I was interviewing someone named Sean Shakespeare at 7:15.  I asked my editor, “Shakespeare?  Like William Shakespeare?”  Yes.  “This is going to be fun.”

What’s your favorite part of Yale so far?
Being on the Lacrosse Team.

Why is that?
Just being able to hang out with the guys on the team and getting to know them.

What else takes up your time here beside lacrosse?
Pretty much school work and ADPhi.

At this point I am extremely proud of myself for not making a Shakespeare comment yet.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully I’ll have a job in finance in either New York or Boston and be married with some children on the way.

Don’t give in…

What is the first thing you are going to do when you get home?
Sleep.  For a while.

Who is your celebrity crush? Please say Anne Hathaway or Gwyneth Paltrow.
Jessica Alba.

Yale girls are the best because…
They are smart, funny, good-looking, understand our bizarre humor, and aren’t freaked out by our behavior at the tailgates.

What is the craziest tailgate outfit you’ve worn?
I was dressed as a fly.

Now this Shakespeare, like his predecessor, (or at least the version portrayed in Shakespeare in Love) has a mustache, so I hope you realize what amount of self restraint it took on my part to not make a comment until now.

Sorry, I’ve got to ask, what sorts of nicknames have you been given because of your name?
Billy, Willy, Shakespeare, Shakey.

What’s your favorite Shakespeare play?
Hamlet.

What’s with the mustache?
I made a deal with a teammate.  The first one to shave gets slapped in the face.  Then I decided to stick with it for No Shave November.

So it is a popular trend for Lax Bros to grow flo.  Do you have any intention of doing so in the foreseeable future?
No I don’t.

Hometown: Hastings, NE
Major: Microbiology
Relationship Status: Single
Campus Involvement/Activities: FOCUS, ROTC, Intermural Flag Football

What are some of your hobbies and interests?
Well this is gonna sound pretty vague, but…. hang out with friends, miles, pile crawl with pole vault friends, just anything that seems fun at the time.

What qualities do you look for in a girl?
Confidence, I mean if a girl doesn’t have confidence it makes it really hard to approach them. Obviously coming from the army I tend to look for someone who is trustworthy, if I can’t trust someone it is impossible to be with them. And quirky, they have to have a good personality. If they aren’t funny, you know, it’s hard to get along with them. I like random and not boring people. Being spontaneous is ideal.

Biggest Dream: First, to be a father then becoming a dentist.

What pet peeves do you have about females?
I want a girl that knows she looks good and feels good about it. But if it’s too much it can be annoying.

Biggest Fear: To lose another friend in the war and not being a good father.

Halloween is around the corner, do you have a costume?
If I would have a costume it would probably be Captain America.

Now I must ask, what’s your favorite part of being a Husker?
Oh, football for sure.

Okay, Think Fast!

Celeb Crush: Jessica Alba
Favorite Movie: The Notebook
Biggest Turnoff: People who chew obnoxiously loud
Three Words to Describe Yourself: Funny, courageous, and intelligent
Superpower: Fly

Our next lucky individual to be voted Her Campus SMCVT Campus Cutie is none other than Corey Crawford. He just turned twenty and is single and ready to mingle! Watch out St. Mike’s!

Name: Corey Crawford II
Birthday: September 10th, 1992
Hometown: Dover, Delaware
Year: Sophomore
Major: Accounting
Relationship Status: Single

Favorite Food: I’ll eat pretty much anything; I’m not too picky. Thanksgiving dinner is my favorite though.

Favorite Type of Music: I’ll listen to pretty much anything except country.

Least Favorite Word: I don’t really have one.

Finish this sentence: The best part of waking up is…
Folgers in your cup…hahaha, just playing.
Waking up every day itself is a blessing, so I would say the best part is embracing life and taking advantage of every opportunity you can. College is only 4 years so you might as well have fun and make the most out of it. Knowing that my family is in good health and everything is going well is a good feeling too.

Would you rather have the power of invisibility or the power to read minds?
Definitely read minds, that would be cool.

Which is more important, looks or personality?
Of course, you’re probably not going to be with somebody you’re not attracted to, but personality is definitely more important. Sometimes I think people put too much emphasis on looks. Somebody who is down to earth, easy to talk to, funny, and intelligent are all attractive qualities ..somebody like my best friend but even more. It’s not all about the looks, the personality actually makes the person.

Celebrity Crush: Sanna Lathan, Jessica Alba, Mila Kunis

What was the last movie/book/show that made you cry?
The Help had a few sad parts, I didn’t cry though.

If you had to be trapped in a TV show for a month, which would you chose?
I think it would have to be SportsCenter or Spiderman.

[pagebreak]

How ‘bout them Deacs? What a perfect way to celebrate this year’s homecoming by getting to know this senior football star! Do you think you will be able to spot this cutie on the field this weekend?

Name: Arthur Justin Jackson
Year: Senior/Red-Shirt Junior
Major/Minor: Communications/Dance
Hometown: Hamlet, North Carolina
Relationship Status: It’s Complicated

Are you involved in any activities on campus?
Just football, it takes up a lot of time.

What position do you play?
I play outside linebacker and my jersey number is 39. Everyone should come back and watch the game Saturday and support the team.

Did you play football in high school?
Yeah, I played fullback and linebacker all four years and got a full ride to Wake for it.

Who was your favorite team growing up?
The Steelers.

Was Wake your dream school?
No, I didn’t have a dream school, but I liked that Wake was close to home.

What did you like most about Wake?
It was a small campus and it has Chick-Fil-A. The Pit was also good when I visited, but I think that was just that one day because it definitely hasn’t been good since.

What’s your favorite thing about being on the football team?
The free stuff. Like I can get free cleats, gloves, and other small stuff like that every week but I get at least four or five pairs of shoes a year.

Favorite place on campus?
Benson, because all the cuties walk by.

What has been your favorite thing about this year?
Social dance, you should see my tango. We have learned that and the waltz; I think I’m a pretty decent dancer. Not the best but not the worst.

Who is your celebrity crush?
I don’t like Kim Kardashian, she’s really cute but I don’t like her personality. Jessica Alba and Meagan Good are both my type. I would say the girl that’s interviewing me but she’s not a celebrity, yet.

(Laughing) So what’s your dream girl like?
Smart, really cute, athletic body; she would have long hair…a nice butt, fun personality, shorter than I am, nice teeth, and a great smile.

Any eye color?
Doesn’t matter.

Favorite first date location?
Shorty’s, my bedroom is the best second date location. Kidding! I like taking girls to the movies or going bowling. If anybody wants to go to the trampoline park I would do that.

You would never take a girl…
I would never take a girl to Burger King.

What are your strengths?
I’m a really good relationship counselor, my stunning good looks, my outgoing personality (I can be shy at times), and I’m athletic.

HC: Can you cook?
No, but I can learn.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
I don’t like when someone doesn’t text me back fast enough. If you text me back consistently slower than what I text you it’s a problem, ‘cause I’m a really slow texter.

What do you do to relax?
Definitely not running, I’m not a running kind of guy; I go to sleep. Other than that, watch Netflix on my phone.

Do you have a favorite movie?
Toystory, because I really like Woody and Buzz Lightyear. The first one is the best, you can’t beat the original.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?
My cell phone. I can’t go anywhere without it ‘cause I do everything with it. Text, call, email, Facebook, WIN stalk, Google random people. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t WIN stalk.

Biggest fear?
I have a re-occurring dream of losing my teeth that are visible; so losing my teeth. I think I have that dream like once a week. That would be horrible if they just all fell out.

What has been your greatest memory of Wake so far?
Nothing great happens at Wake, but I had a lot of fun throwing snowballs at people from rooftops my freshman year the first time that it snowed here.

What do you want to do with your future?
I would like to play for the NFL, any team but definitely in a linebacker position.

Life motto?
You only live once that’s my motto baby, YOLO.

Name: Haben Abraha
Year: 1st year
College: Victoria!
Major: Pharmacology
Place you call home: Toronto
Relationship Status: I’m single.

Favorite On-Campus and Off-Campus Locations: Victoria’s Cats Eye lounge. Definitely. Off-campus, it would be Fairview Mall.

Pet Peeves: The squinty eyes that guys make in profile pictures. Also, when someone tells me to do something that I was JUST about to do, like let’s say that I’m walking to my room and am about to take out my books to do homework and my mom goes like DO YOUR HW! Backseat drivers, I also hate doing arts and crafts, SO BAD at it.

The Perfect Job: Lottery Winner/Superhero. If I could do it that’d be great!

Ten years from now…
I’ll hopefully be a practicing doctor. I’ll be a little bit more organized. And I’ll be taller. Haha. Definitely tall. Living in a condo downtown. Be even funnier than I am now (I know, hard to believe, right!) Hopefully have a girlfriend. I’d have bungee jumped. And I’d have broken a world record for something.

Every guy needs these three things in his closet: Deodorant, a BIG box of condoms (safety first, you know), and sweatpants. Really comfy sweats.

Your perfect girl in 7 words or less: Nice body, attractive, cheerful, fun, curly hair

Favorite thing about Toronto: I like the atmosphere of downtown Toronto. Love the tall buildings, how everything is nearby, and you’re in the middle of life. It’s hard to explain. I love how everyone is rushing by around and how busy it is. On the other hand, you can still find quiet spots for when you want to relax and want to slow down from life.

Perfect soulmate material: Jessica Alba. If I can’t get her, since she’s married and all, (biggest mistake of her life), THEN, I’d pick someone I can connect with.

If you could go out with any female celebrity, who it would it be?
Aly Michalka, because she is ridiculously HOT. Three words: Hellcats cheerleading outfit

One thing you want to do before graduating: Party for 24 hours straight. Or go for drinks with one my professors and teachers and have that connection.

Where would we find you on a Thursday night: I’d be in Cat’s Eye playing pool.

If you could have a super power what would it be and why:
Time-travel because then I could procrastinate like crazy for tests and not study. Then, the day before the test, I’d stop time and study. Or I could do a test and then go back in time since I would already know the questions on it. Do over embarrassing stuff. Go in the future, see an invention and come back in time and patent it. So many reasons…

Subway, in a sudden fit of inspiration, decides to name a sandwich after you, what’s it called and what’s in it:
Meatballs, mozzarella cheese, fried chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, lots of honey BBQ sauce. It’d be called The Titan Sandwich.

Famous last words…
It’s better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

How do you feel on being chosen as a campus cutie? A little surprised. But it’s about time!

Name: Andrew Wood
Hometown: Summit, New Jersey
Major: Finance/Accounting
Relationship status: In a relationship
Birthday: December 9, 1991

Besides keeping busy in the business school, what are you involved with on campus?
I am a member of Sigma Nu fraternity and a part of a finance club … but I don’t really do anything for that. Also, I’m in Young Republicans.

What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I have 11 toes.

No you don’t.
No I don’t. Actually, I was on “Slime Time Live” and got pied in the face. I got pink eye from that. It kind of sucked.

No way! That’s the Nickelodeon show right?
Yes!

How old were you?
I was in fifth grade.

So, do you have any nicknames?
Woody and Woodman … that’s one word by the way! My girlfriend also calls me Drew.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?
People walking too slow in front of me.

Because of Jersey, right?
Yeah, I live a fast-paced lifestyle.

Okay, so let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. When was your first kiss?
Um … 6th grade.

What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve done to get a girl’s attention?
Well, when my girlfriend, Devin, was at our high school basketball game, I wanted to surprise her and put flowers on her car. I called her and told her that her car got hit by another car in the parking lot so she’d come out and see them.

Aw, was there any special occasion?
It was the day I asked her to be my girlfriend.

When did you two start dating?
Yeah, spring of senior year.

With Valentine’s Day just passing, how did you two celebrate?
I went and visited her for the weekend at her school, Ohio State. Valentine’s Day is around our anniversary, so we went to a nice place for dinner. For actual Valentine’s Day I just called her because we had already celebrated over the weekend.

So what do you look for in a woman?
Someone that’s fun to be around, a good personality, is pretty, and has the same interests.

Interests? As in what?
Well we both like to be with our friends, hang out, and be active.

Who is your celebrity crush?
Oh that’s easy, Jessica Alba!

So, where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years, I’ll be working for an accounting firm hopefully in New York City, possibly as a consultant.

Most time-consuming aspect of your life at Penn: Definitely wrestling, probably more than sleeping.

Perfect Spring Break: Somewhere very remote in the Bahamas.

Favorite TV Shows: Psych, Community, and 30 Rock.

Favorite restaurant on campus: Hummus or Greek Lady.

Dog Person or Cat Person: Dog person

What is the first thing you notice about a girl?
How she walks—her posture if you will. I’ll notice if she walks confidently.

What do you find most appealing about girls at Penn?
You can have a conversation with them.

Perfect first date: Light food, and doing something outside on a warm afternoon.

What do you look for in a girl?
Someone who’s outgoing, pretty, and assertive, in no particular order.

Do you believe in soul mates?
No, I think you can connect with a number of people.

Does true love last forever?
I don’t know, I’m only 20 years old.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
I have no idea.

Favorite pick-up line:
I actually have many good pickup lines. Classless has a bunch, actually. “Do you have any Jew in you? Do you want some?” —“Nice shoes.” —“Does anybody know you’re here?”

Penn Bucket List: Writing a book, making it to wrestling nationals, and streaking down Locust Walk (preferably at night, of course).

He’s adventurous, loves spontaneity, and is always looking for a good time. This fellow DKE brother is not only funny and smart, but philanthropic too – and has an adorable dog! Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Ryan Durfee.

Name: Ryan Durfee
Nickname: Durf
Hometown: Franklin Lakes, NJ
Major: International Business
Relationship Status: Single
Horoscope: Aries

Do you play any sports?
I played football and lacrosse in high school; and here I am an avid golfer and shooter – skeet shooting and trap shooting.

How would you describe yourself?
Friendly, outgoing, and I’m always around too. I’m always available to help my friends and I love to have a great time. I’m in Delta Kappa Epsilon [DKE] so I love being around those guys; they’re my best friends on the face of the planet.

What else are you involved in on campus?
Well, I am the vice president of DKE and one of the financial officers for a non- profit called Students Helping Students. It was founded in 2005 by my friend Bill Zandi. After hurricane Katrina, he formed it to help distribute books from wealthier communities to less fortunate communities, specifically, New Orleans in the beginning. Basically what we do is gather books and supplies from wealthier schools…and ship them across the country to those in need.

Did you do anything interesting this past summer?
Yes, I interned at Merrill Lynch in New York City. All my friends were up there so we got to run around all over the place.

How did your internship go?
It was hard. It was my first shock of the real world, but I enjoyed it. I learned a lot.

How are you feeling about your final year at Wake?
I’m excited for it; I think it’s going to be the best year of my life.

Do you have any expectations or is there anything you want to accomplish?
Hmmm… I just don’t want to have any regrets; that would definitely be it. I want to take every opportunity that comes to me.

So do you have any plans for post-graduation?
No, not yet. Hopefully I’ll be working in New York City. I studied for 9 months in England, so I wouldn’t mind going there. And I am picking up Portuguese, so maybe banking in Brazil or something.

What has been your most embarrassing moment at Wake Forest so far?
Oh man, I know I have a good one for you. Can we go back to this and let me think for a while?

Sure! What has your best memory been?
My best memory is probably a single snap shot in time: (laughing) at the “Heat” party in the basement, swinging off a rope swing into the fog and bamboo.

Where’s you favorite place on campus?
The patio at Shorty’s. Paying for beer with Deacon Dollars is phenomenal; Wake’s best idea yet.

Have you had any good dates?
A few here and there, but still waiting on the right one.

Speaking of girls, what do you find most attractive in a girl?
[Someone who is] spontaneous, outgoing, loves to have fun, smart…and I have no preferences on hair color, strangely enough.

So you don’t have a type at all?
I do, they have to be friendly, like I said, but what do you mean by type?

Well some people like tall and athletic or really outgoing or shy…
Really outgoing, definitely can’t do shy.

What about funny?
Yes, that’s what I was going for – funny. I am a really sarcastic person so I need someone who will be able to bounce back and forth.

What is the one thing you can’t stand in a girl?
Girls that say, “like.” It infuriates me.

Do you have any celebrity crushes?
Kate Upton and Jessica Alba, even if she’s taken!

Have you used any good pick up lines lately?
Hmm. “I am a pilot.” I have convinced people I am a pilot over the summer at bars and that I’m just over here on a lay over…that’s worked out well. Or actually, the one I use more is that I’m a pediatrician, [and] I’m training to become a pediatrician because I love kids so much (laughing). That one is definitely the most successful!

What are the three most important things to you?
My family, my fraternity brothers, and my dog, Tyson.

What kind of dog is he?
He’s a mutt I rescued last year. He’ s a real sweetheart.

Do you have any secret hobbies that you do in your free time?
I am a phenomenal cook.

What kinds of things do you cook?
Italian food, Greek food – because I’m Greek – and steak every which way.

If you could have one super-power what would it be?
Hmm… let me think, I don’t want to say flying because that so boring…

And you’re a pilot remember?
(Laughing) Exactly, I already fly. I’d probably be Magneto because I’m really lazy. I would like to be able to use “the force” and pull things toward me…but don’t say “the force” because it makes me sound like a freak.

What kind of music do you listen to?
I’m open to everything. I am a huge classic rock fan and I also like electronic music and rap.

Who are a couple of your favorite DJ’s?
I have to say Alesso, Nicky Romero, and Calvin Harris.

Lets go back to your most embarrassing moment…
I’m trying to think because I’ve had a handful of them that have been absolutely ridiculous. Hmmm…just give me one more second. I wish I had my friends here to chime in. Probably when a bunch of Kappas found my friend Derek and me sleeping on a couch in the middle of Martin dorm and Polo road in the grass. Apparently we brought it out in the middle of the night and decided it was a good place to stay.

If you could stay in one place for the rest of your life where would it be?
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I went a couple times for spring break. Its fantastic.

Ten years from now, where do you see yourself?
I think I see my self up north hopefully with a family, hopefully with a job on Wall Street. Definitely living in the suburbs, and maybe a lake house.

Is there anything else you would like to share with Her Campus and fellow readers? Are you currently scouting for a girlfriend?
Always. I’m looking for a bride…(laughing) I’m looking to have a great time. It’s my last year and I want to meet as many people as possible.
