Spring Break Survival Kit!

Spring Break is around the corner and thankfully we received our Survival Kit from National just in time! Check out our favorite picks included in the kit below!

Not Your Mother’s Hair Care

For many, Spring Break means finding yourself at the beach–pronto. While the sand and surf can be the perfect remedy for an exhaustive semester, it can also take a toll on your hair.  Sulfate, Paraben and Dye free, the Clean Freak line from Not Your Mother’s Hair Care will make sure your hair is free from the salt and gunk buildup that usually accompanies a day (or week) at the beach. With these travel sizes in tow, you & your hair are ready to embrace the beach in all its glory.

Completely Bare

Bikini waxes are on the rise during this time of the year and if you’re a fan of the bare-down-there look, you too are looking for a clean slate for the start of your break. If you’re worried about coordinating rides from your school in the middle of nowhere to make your appointment slot or laying awkwardly while a stranger takes care of business in your nether regions, we’ve got good news! Pre-waxed strips that take less than a minute to heat up (with your hands!), these wax strips from Completely Bare will leave you hair free in a sitch, saving you the trip to the salon and some $$.

Dirty Rush by Taylor Bell

Of course, no break is complete without a little fun reading. Now’s the time where you get to read something other than Freud’s theory of psychoanalysis and since you’re working with limited time it’s a good idea to make sure you’ve got a good read already picked out.  Included in our kit were a few copies of Dirty Rush and boy are we glad. If you’ve ever wondered what rushing a sorority is like, this book is a good place to start. Filled with wild antics, heart-to-heart dialogues and moments of self-reflection amongst a mob-mentality setting, Dirty Rush is sure to take you on a wild ride.

SABRE Personal Alarm

Whether you’re traveling far or staying close to home this break, safety should always be a priority. While it can be fun hitting up the town at night, the risks of finding yourself in a precarious situation are dramatically increased. If you want to err on the side of caution (which we hope you do!), make sure you have a means of calling for help if you need to. Small and easy to attach, these alarms from SABRE activate a 110 dB siren when the keychain pin is removed from the device. If you ever find yourself in a tricky situation, especially when there is little visibility, these alarms will alert those nearby that you’re in danger.

A huge thanks to HC National and their partners for another fabulous Survival Kit!
