Everything You Need to Know About the Her Campus at VCU MidAtlantic Conference

With two weeks left until Her Campus at VCU hosts the annual MidAtlantic Conference, you might be seeing your friends getting tickets and the buzz on social media and wondering, “Why should I go?” If you’re a college-aged woman who wants to network with professionals and other empowered women from across the MidAtlantic region, you should be thinking, “Why WOULDN’T I go?!” instead.

The MidAtlantic Conference, held on Sunday April 8 from 1-4 p.m. in the Student Commons, will be three hours filled with motivational speakers, giveaways and free food. Spots are limited to the first 200 attendees to register and reserve their spot. Don’t delay because there are only a handful of spots left! Register now at hercampusvcu.wixsite.com/midatlantic.

So, now you’ve registered, picked out your best business casual attire and are anxiously waiting for April 8. Here’s a glimpse at what you can expect at the MidAtlantic Conference:

Insight to Her Campus and Her Campus at VCU. While not limited to just Her Campus members, you won’t leave this conference not wanting to join a Her Campus team. With over 360 chapters nationwide and counting, Her Campus members have been offered jobs and internships with Vanity Fair, MTV and The Washington Post just to name a few! Her Campus at VCU was founded in 2011. Seven years in and Her Campus at VCU is in the top percentile of chapters nationwide. Her Campus at VCU continuously produces content, plans campus events and supports different causes throughout the year. Speakers you won’t want to miss. The keynote speaker will be Christina Dick, founder of Tiramisu for Breakfast Agency which focuses on marketing consultations with a focus on social media. Also joining the line up is Caroline Kalentzos, CEO of POSH PR – a boutique public relations and luxury event planning agency specializing in partnerships with fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands across the nation. Chief Troublemaker at Wonderbolt Labs, Holly Chasan-Young, will present “Design Your Purpose”. Chasan-Young will quickly become someone you want to add to your contacts. Lastly, three Her Campus at VCU alumna (Jessica Nolte, Katlyn Pierre and Noura Bayoumi) will do a panel discussion on life after college. 

Free food and giveaways. If nothing else, join Her Campus at VCU for a free catered lunch. You might even walk away with one of the many door prizes – one of which is an Amazon Firestick!
