I know handling college life is hard but with how things are going right now in the world of politics our generation needs to educate themselves on current issues and what to do to enact change. These are three simple ways to stay updated on what’s happening

1) Live Online Newscast

Every morning I flip my computer open and go to CNNGO where I can access live online streaming of their newscast. This way I can get a breakdown of what’s currently happening while making breakfast and drinking my cup of coffee.

2) Twitter

This is an easy and accessible way to stay updated. Everyone pretty much has the Twitter app on their phone. Just follow a few news accounts like CNN, NYT, Washington Post, and NBC to get a few good news sources to come up on your feed.

3) News App on iPhones

If you’re an iPhone user there is a News app automatically downloaded in your home screen. You can either scroll through it in your free time or allow it to send you notifications of breaking news.

Claudia is a sophomore at The University of Tampa. As a Bio major on the Pre-Med track she's got her head buried in books most of the time. When she's not studying Darwin's theory of evolution and calculating the yield of chemical reactions she loves to do anatomical sketches, take pictures for her IG, write short stories and get involved in as much volunteer work as she can. Being Puerto Rican she's got a lot of drive and passion that she puts towards her goal of becoming a Neonatal surgeon.
