As the end of the semester approaches more of us will begin to study. Here’s a list of the study spots around our campus, here at the University of Tampa.
- If you need quiet (AF)
- The library
- Cubicles to study in, the lighting will definitely keep you wide awake
- Comfy seating in the back with
- The library
- If you’re a people person
- Vaughn Courtyard
- Vaughn Lobby – same as outdoor but with AC
- If you can only get work done in loud ambiance
- Starbucks
- If you need a hidden outdoor gem
- Sykes Business
- Two sides to choose from
- Palm Courtyard
- You don’t need an ID to access this
- Residents walk and play with their doggies here
- McKay:
- The lawn out by the BBQ grills
- Although this is in front of the doors to McKay’s community room (and beach volleyball court) it’s furthest from the center of the campus, has a lovely view of downtown and a very calming feel
- Behind the library
- There’s like two tables out there but you can bring a blanket
- Sykes Business
- If you need low lighting to watch a movie
- The Rathskeller – great subs here too!
- Spartan Club – on the second floor, you can play pool here!
- If you live on campus
- Jenkins: 2nd-floor lounge and the two rooms in the 11th
- Not to mention in front of the laundry room, those stools are comfy!
- Palm: There’s three in each floor!
- Austin: Conference room or game room on the 1st floor.
- Morsani: 2nd-floor kitchen (across from the laundry room), or outdoor area by the soccer field.
- Vaughn: Spartan Club (on top of the grill)
- McKay: The big study room in the community room.
- Boathouse: Outside the boathouse or at the Riverwalk
- Smiley: Much space in the newly renovated community rooms.
- Straz: Lobby and conference areas (the one by the TV and the one by the laundry room)
- Urso: The separate room on the first floor
- Jenkins: 2nd-floor lounge and the two rooms in the 11th
