5 Fun Activities for the Fall Season

Looking for some fun and unique events for you and your friends, roommates, or family members to do to celebrate the fall season in Tampa? Here is a list of places that are all about thrill, food, pumpkins, and all activities associated with the best time of the year!

1.     Zoo-Boo

  A Halloween event hosted by the Lowry Park Zoo, it is a fun, non-frightful evening for children from the ages of 3-11.  Enjoy colorful decorations, trick-or-treat stations, and jeepers creepers critters encounters. 2.     Howl-O-Scream

Howl-O-Scream is a yearly Halloween fright fest held at Busch Gardens Tampa. This adults-targeted event transforms the theme park into a late-night party with haunted houses, scare zones, and a live show.  Tickets are $60 when you purchase them ahead of time online, and $90 at the gate.  Howl-O-Scream is every Thursday-Sunday each weekend in the month of October.  So be prepared for scary adventures and to be spooked frequently.  For more information, please visit: http://seaworldparks.com/buschgardens-tampa/howloscream/

3.     24th Annual Pumpkin Festival at Hunsader’s Farm

Don’t miss out on hayrides, seasonal food, over 100 craft tables, live music and shows, and more at the Hunsader’s Farm Pumpkin Festival.  It will be taking place on October 10-11th, 17-18th, and 24-15th from 9 AM- 5 PM in Bradenton FL, just about 35-40 minutes south of Tampa.  Tickets are only $10 and parking is just $5.  So grab some friends, hit the road, and go enjoy an entire pumpkin patch while eating homemade pumpkin pie. 4.     Spartans After Dark Event

Don’t want to travel to get in the spirit of Halloween?  Well Student Productions is hosting a Halloween event on Friday, October 30th starting at 8 PM in Vaughn Courtyard.  The occasion is free for any UT student and there will be giveaways, games, and free food!  What a great way to get in the mood on the eve of the holiday. 5.     Guavaween

Do you have the best Halloween costume in town? If so, then head to Guavaween on October 24th in Ybor City, which is a celebration of Halloween contests.  Guavaween hosts the famous Costume Contest in the city, and the best over-all outfit wins $1,000!  That kind of money could help pay for next year’s tuition!
