International Women’s Day: Inspiring Plus-Size Fashion Bloggers to Follow

In honor of International Women’s Day, I want to celebrate and share some inspiring women in the fashion community. These are five of my favorite plus size fashion bloggers, entrepreneurs, models, and body positivity advocates that prove women should be celebrated on more than just one day. It is refreshing to see women with bodies like mine, changing the fashion world and encouraging others to be bold. They have proven that fashion is not just for one body type. Their unique styles and shared message of self-love inspire me and others everyday. I am grateful for these plus size role models for being themselves and sharing their stunning fashion looks in the process.

Here are some of the beautiful, fashionable, brilliant, and influential women I look to when I am in need of inspiration:

1. Callie Thorpe

Callie is one of my favorite bloggers because every time you see a picture of her you can’t help but light up; she simply radiates positivity. She’s not afraid to dazzle people by wearing bright colors and fun patterns. Callie has been featured in multiple high profile fashion magazines including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and Elle. On her blog The Confidence Corner and Instagram she shares posts about fashion, confidence, lifestyle, travel adventures, and charming photos of herself and husband.

Nicolette is one of the first fashion bloggers that I followed when I started to discover influential plus size women on Instagram. I adore her elegant style and use of statement coats and jackets. She is the co-founder of Premme US, an online store where you can find chic clothes from sizes 12-30. She has experience as a fashion writer for multiple publications such as Marie Claire, Glamour, etc. She also runs her own blog where she posts about lifestyle, fashion, travel, and beauty.

Emma is someone to follow because she brings her lively personality into every post. She has a popular YouTube channel where she shares hilarious and informational plus size fashion hauls. I can always count on Emma to give her true thoughts and feelings about a piece of clothing or brand. She presents a combination of street style outfits and formal looks with her viewers. She is the founder of AllBody UK, which is an extremely inclusive online store that currently sells T-Shirts and sweatpants with positive slogans from size small to 5X.

Kellie is another body positive blogger with incredible style and has an important message for her followers: self-love. Her personal blogs have motivated me to wear more bright colors, dresses, and lots of sparkles. Kellie is the founder and creator of the blog And I Get Dressed. She also has her own popular YouTube channel where she shares fashion hauls, travel tips, advice, body positivity videos, and vlogs about her life.

And I Get Dressed:

I want to thank these five incredible women and others for continuing to inspire me in all aspects of my life, from fashion to self-confidence. They have motivated me to celebrate my body and express myself through fashion. Young girls need positive role models of all sizes to encourage self-acceptance and individuality. It is important for women and girls to know that they don’t need to fit a certain mold to be beautiful. I hope to see more extraordinary plus size women like these influencing mainstream fashion in the future.

Happy International Women’s Day!
