READY 4 RAISSA: Raissa Reis for VP of PR

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USFCA chapter.

With ASUSF Senate elections coming up, I interviewed fellow English major and Delta Zeta Raissa Reis to help spread the word about her campaign and to allow her to express her feelings to voters. As someone who is well acquainted with Raissa, I can tell you firsthand that I have met very few people who are as passionate about USF as she is. “If elected as Vice President of Public Relations, I want to engage, excite, and empower students,” she says, “I want to improve senate’s level of transparency and create new PR initiatives that highlight our organizations on campus in an effort to promote student involvement.” Raissa hopes to create strong relationships between student organizations and senate, which she hopes will ultimately lead to an improvement in student life and activities. If you’d like to know more about her initiatives, check out her website:

If elected, Raissa wants to create more opportunities for the student body to voice its opinions. She wants senate to be publicly engaged with students through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I don’t know about you, but I don’t really hear much about what is going on with USF’s senate, and Raissa hopes to change this. She is basically an advocate for student involvement in general: “I just want voters to know that no matter who you’re supporting, it’s extremely important to go out and vote! This is a chance to elect the people you want in your senate. It’s important to use your voice and have a say in who represents you. Thank you for reading this!”

If you would like to know more about Raissa’s campaign, check out (and like!) her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ready4raissa or follow her on Twitter at: @ready4raissa where there will be regular updates!

A big thanks to everyone who is #ready4raissa!

Ballots open Friday at 10AM at www.eballot4.votenet.com/usfca. Don’t forget to vote!
