Beauty YouTubers You Should Be Subscribed To

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNT chapter.

I’ll be the first to admit that I spend an unhealthy amount of time on Youtube. I don’t know how it came down to this, but between Buzzfeed and the beauty community, I never run out of things to watch. Recently, I have been really trying to learn how to make my makeup look as good as the youtuber’s that I look up to. Here are my top five favorite influencers that you might not be following, but you should be.

Porcelain- Even though I have only been watching Bridgette for a couple of months, I have a great deal of respect for her. She pushes out daily content and always gives her full opinion, which is hard to find in the industry these days. What I admire most about her is that she doesn’t let anyone belittle her dreams. She frequently comes out with creative content and posts every single day. That’s right, every single freaking day.

Jordan Byers- I relate to Jordan since we are the same age, and I watched her transition to college around the same time I did. Even though she traveled quite a bit further than me, we are both pursuing our dreams in fields that are extremely competitive. She started her own beauty line in high school, and has built up a loyal fan base that she calls the “JobySquad.” She’s goofy and 100% herself, which only adds to her talent.

Sophdoesnails- But not really anymore. She has transitioned over to makeup, and I am so very glad. Soph does a mixture of high-end products and drugstore, which makes her highly versatile in the beauty industry. She also has collaborated with the brand ‘Makeup Revolution’, and has come out with multiple products, including two three palettes and 3 lipsticks. Plus, she’s British. Who doesn’t love British accents?

Alissa Ashley- Being the one with the biggest following out of all of these individuals, it is safe to say that Alissa is loved in the YouTube community. Her most watched videos include her “Mystery Monday” series, where she lets a wheel choose her makeup. She also does reviews, how-to’s and videos with her twin sister (who is as equally beautiful as she is) frequently!

  1. Thomas Halbert- An up-and-coming male makeup artist, Thomas is about to hit 500,000 subscribers on Youtube. He mostly posts reviews, but often throws in collabs with other youtubers, challenges and GRWM’s. People love Thomas for his honesty (which is very, very unfiltered) and his sarcasm. He has a dry sense of humor, but it makes him stand out from other youtubers!
