Star Light, Star Bright…Wyoming Nights

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Wyoming chapter.

It is officially Halloween weekend, and naturally a bunch of you are dressing up as pop stars, sports stars, movie stars, etc. But let’s talk about some real stars for a second: we all know that Wyoming’s starry nights are second to none, but did you know that once a year you can actually go into the Wyoming Infrared Observatory (WIRO) on the summit of Mt. Jelm and look through the telescope? This telescope, pictured above, is definitely the real deal. We highly encourage that the next time it’s open, you make yourself available and see some stellar beauty!
