Stress Free Ways To Rid Yourself Of Anxiety

Meditation

Meditation is such a useful technique to get rid of anxiety, especially before bed and in the morning. The easiest way to meditate is to close your eyes and count down from 100 and think of a box. This is the easiest way to relax your mind and get rid of those daily stresses. This also relaxes your heart rate and allows for a clear mind.

Essential Oils

Essential Oils are the best thing since sliced bread. Oils such as Lavender, Valerian (No GOT reference) and Jasmine are great. Placing these oils on your wrist when feeling anxious helps to relax the brain due to the calming smells. If allergic to any of these, I do not suggest using them but if you are, there are thousands of scents that can help with calming.

Vitamins

Vitamins are a great alternative to medicated pills for relieving anxiety. Vitamin C, B and Methylfolate are great daily vitamins for this. All can be bought at any vitamin or drugstore or even on Amazon. These daily vitamins have been proven to relieve daily anxiety without releasing chemicals in your body that could be harmful or addictive.

Improve Your Diet

Eating healthier has been proven to help with anxiety disorders. Cutting out gluten in your diet is proven to control anxiety disorders. Eating healthier also helps for added energy and a healthier mind. Cutting out caffeine is a way to reduce anxiety as well. Increasing your daily water intake helps to relax the mind and allow for it to work efficiently.

Seek Help

If anxiety is something that affects your daily life, seeking help is always a great option. UD has resources that can help such as support groups, counselors and even puppies! There is nothing to be ashamed of, so many people struggle with anxiety problems. Always know that there is help and you are loved and cared about. Mental illnesses are a serious issue and can be controlled with medication and therapy.
