8 Reasons Why You Should Exercise During Exam Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

It is about that time of the semester, life is picking up and it can be challenging for us college students to make time to do things such as, oh I don’t know, eat…sleep…exercise. However, it is so important that we take the time to do so. Here are 8 reasons why exercising in college is so important…especially during exam season.

1. Studying can induce stress and many other negative emotions.

2. It is very important to take breaks and take care of ourselves (Self care is the best care, am I right?)

3. Exercising is a productive and beneficial way to spend that break

 4. Exercise tends to distract the mind, ease anxiety, and strengthen memory

5. Not to mention most workouts tend to have a Renee moment (minus the physical fall)

6. After working out, all of a sudden we are ready to take on that studying with a positive mindset

7. We’re ready to walk into the library with Beyonce confidence…

8. Because we know those assignments have nothing on us. We hold the power.
