Unfortunately break is over, and you have to go back to class. The days of waking up at 3 p.m are over for now.
Let’s be honest. You were going stir crazy with all your free time, and may have lost some social skills along the way.
You and your friends are all together again, and you couldn’t be happier for that. This semester is shaping up to be awesome.
In fact, this semester is going to be amazing. You already know your campus through and through; you also have sympathy and pity for the transfer students that don’t know what you know.
You are reinventing yourself this semester. You will study harder, go to class, and your fashion will improve. Your wardrobe will say exactly who you are, because this semester you will take time getting dressed in the morning.
Maybe you made a small blunder like going into the wrong classroom and not realizing at first. Doesn’t matter! You faked it perfectly for fifty minutes pretending like you are definetely in Intro to Birthing 101, and the breathing exercises turned out to be very helpful.
One mistake will not set the tone for your whole semester. Time to meet some new people!
However, you find out that one of your best friends dropped a class you were supposed to take together. What are they thinking anyway? You were supposed to be able to study and do homework together. Now you really do have to make new friends.
Next, the most unexpected thing will happen. Your professors give you all your syllabi for the semester, and you realize your classes are actually going to be a lot of hard work. To make it worse, your professors just sit there knowing what they’ve done.
You were optimistic when you signed up for your class load last semester, and now you have to face your Advanced Honors Shakespeare Colloquium Class taught solely in French at 8am. Your classes may even seem so difficult you consider switching majors.
Do not lose faith. The first week can be scary and intimidating, but you can do this. You are awesome and this semester is going to be wonderful. Good luck!
