LOATHE LOVING: Websites that encourage procrastination

Finals week is upon us and the vast array of pointless websites is once again cause for concern. I’ll be sitting there, innocently working on a sociology research paper, and then someone will Facebook chat me that they saw a description on Like-A-Little that sounded like me. I make my way over only to discover that some guy has made a reference to a girl watching a video on College Humor. I haven’t seen said video and feel the need to be up on pop culture, so I look it up. Then I get to laughing so hard I HAVE to Tweet about it. While on Twitter I notice a link to a friend’s stumbleupon page. Naturally I click it, stumble around on their profile for a minute, which takes me to Sporcle.

I then Sporcle for a little while before realizing I’ve been “working on my research paper” for 2 hours now and haven’t done anything.

Sound like someone you know? Yeah. I thought so. We all hate how addicted we are to these sites, especially during finals week. Trust me, it will all be over soon. Just stay strong.
