5 Lessons Learned From Last Week’s Episode of Scandal

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

ABC’s Scandal has social media sites buzzing every Thursday from 10-11pm EST. Whether you’re cheering for Olivia and Fitz to finally be together or wondering why Mellie is such a sneaky bi-otch, you’re constantly on the edge of your seat to watch the drama unfold. Here are the top 5 lessons learned from Thursday’s episode of Scandal.

1.     The Smithsonian is hiding more than fossils!: We’ve all known Poppa Pope was sketchy for a little while now and it just keeps getting worse. He used to claim he worked for the Smithsonian but he’s been lying for years!

2.     2 million is enough to sell yourself: Who knew that 2 million dollars would quickly turn you from a sweet, young girl into the President’s stalking, raunchy mistress? I wonder if that’s what happened to Monica Lewinsky.

3.     Fitz has bigger balls than you: No doubt Fitz is hot! But he got hotter this week when he told Cyrus off. We’ve been waiting for Fitz to put his foot down and he will surely do that to protect his Liv.

Tell me he isn’t hot! Golly!

4.     Don’t Lie to Huck: We all know all the pieces aren’t quite there for Huck but his loyalty to Olivia has always been strong. When he found out she had lied to him this week….I was scared in my living room!

5.     Sunday dinner can save lives: Besides the fact that Poppa Pope doesn’t actually work for the Smithsonian, we know Sunday dinners with Olivia were something that he cherished. He might not be the greatest dad but at least dinner is always on him!

If you missed the episode be sure to check out Hulu so you can catch up and be prepared because I’m sure the next episode will have you on the edge of your seat, as always.
