What fall fashion is trending at your campus this Season?

Autumn has got to be one of the best seasons throughout the school year. During this season, it is a time for getting back into school and seeing your campus steadily ease into the fall season. The change of color in the trees, the slight decrease in temperature, a change in the wind, and thriving in that sense of leaving summer behind all come with the new school year, and one can project that through how they dress. It is a great time to throw on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt, but sometimes, some would want to change it up!

Here are trending fall fashions and styles that you might have seen across campus…

Flannels are back!

Remember when flannels were really trendy during the middle school / young years of high school? Well, they are back! Flannels are now worn with leggings / any kind of jeans, and usually with a crop top underneath. It is a trend to wear long white socks with sneakers such as air forces and other shoes similar to this.

There are flowy, open, and light flannels, and thick, jacket-like flannels that people wear during the colder days. This is a great look for this season, and makes you look great on campus!

opened jackets

Opened long-sleeve jackets are in! Usually worn with a long sleeve crop top or sweater, leggings, or jeans (usually mom and baggy jeans), this is one of the cutest looks I have seen on campus.

  • Cropped / Long Sleeve Puffer Jackets and leggings

Puffer jackets that are cut off at the shoulders are one of the trendiest looks of Fall. Usually, one pair up their puffer jacket color with the same color leggings, usually paired with neutral solid colors such as brown, beige, grey, nude, cream, tan, and light pistachio green.

  • Oversized jackets and oversized pants

Being comfy is definitely a need throughout the season of Fall, and what better way to do that than with slightly oversized warm jackets? Does not matter the color, opened jackets with a sweater/top underneath, and neutral colors and even black is trendy throughout college campuses.

  • Shackets

This a great casual jacket to wear while the temperature gets a little colder. Throw on some jeans with this jacket, and even a cute long sleep top or a pair of boots such as doc martins would go nicely with this look.

  • Oversized fleece jackets

These jackets are almost similar to shackets, just warmer and lighter! One could throw on leggings and their favorite pair of boots with this too, and a crop top or sweater underneath too.

  • Sherpa Jackets

Has to be the coziest and fluffiest jacket that one could wear during the colder days when the wind is high and the temperature is low. You could wear this with almost anything!

  • Bomber Jackets

This jacket is a short-cut jacket that can be worn on warmer days! Throw on some mom jeans and some jewelry with this look!

Crewnecks + jeans

Crewnecks are the most simple way to dress cute throughout your Fall academic semester. Crewnecks have definitely been trending for a while, but as you are walking on campus to your classes, you can notice that crewnecks have upped their game in the trends. Crewnecks can come in any type of color, but the trendiest has to be neutral-colored crewnecks paired with a black puffer jacket and black leggings. Or, one could wear just the crewneck and throw on a pair of any kind of jeans. The contrast of black and neutral colors has always been a theme during the fall season, especially with wearing crewnecks.

Layering (Sweater vests)

Layering your look is one of the biggest trends during the Fall season too. One of the best layering looks has to be wearing a sweater vest and a long sleeve turtle neck with light-colored high-rise or mom jeans. Sweater vests have been on the road to trendy for the past 5 years, giving off a cute vibe that you can show off on campus, while also impressing your professors with how professional and casual you look!

Leather jackets

  • Honestly, leather jackets go with any kind of pair of jeans and neutral-colored tops during the fall. Plus, they are super comfy and also make you look classy.

Sweatpants and sweatshirts

  • Whether it is college apparel or a lazy day, one could never go wrong with a pair of sweatpants or a sweatshirt on a day when you are studying or just chilling on campus.

Fall and Autumn are great times to wear cozy and warm fashion, especially looking good for all kinds of outdoor events or walking on campus. Be ready for sweater weather because it is finally here!
