Every girl has the moment in which she questions her sanity and whether or not she should get bangs. You can assume what is happening in someone’s life based on what hairstyle they are rocking that week.

Now, I have had my fair amount of moments in my life where I have contemplated cutting my hair or getting bangs or dying my hair a completely random color. Heck, I have even cut almost all my hair off and dyed my hair a completely unique color that is nowhere near my normal hair color (I am currently obsessed with my recently dyed dark brown/black hair for the colder seasons). I have never gotten bangs, though.

Some people can rock bangs while others cannot. I am one of those people who cannot. So, in the mist of my mental breakdowns, I usually plan on dying my hair. I went blonde last autumn and decided to go darker this season.

Part of me just likes the process of dying my hair. I love looking up pictures of different styles and colors, asking people for their opinions, and being excited when I see the final product for the first time. Sometimes, you just need a change in your life.

People often judge when a girl decides to make a major change to her hair. They think it’s part of a mental breakdown or an act of rebellion, and heck, maybe it is. But who are we to judge? If it makes you feel good about yourself, dye or cut your hair, get bangs, or whatever you have to do to be happy.
