It’s November and once again poppies are all over Fredericton. To Canadians, the poppy signifies remembrance of fallen soldiers and of veterans – a way to acknowledge all the people who put, and continue to put their lives on the line for us. Usually when we see poppies, all we see is a plastic, red flower with a knack for puncturing the skin. However, Remembrance Day poppies have a pretty neat backstory.
