Meet SPU student Morgan Gaston, who is generally known at Morgan Lillian due to her success in the blogging world. Morgan is a fashion blogger who has gained recognition for her bold style, quick trend updates and fun personality. I got to ask her a few questions about her blogging success and what you can expect from browsing her site (linked below).
How long have you been blogging?
“I launched my blog last February, so almost a year now.”
How would you describe your personal style?
“I would describe my style as chic and trendy. I really like to play around with the upcoming trends so I’m always wearing something that people think is a little weird.”
What advice would you give to those who are looking to find latest trends or expand their style?
“Well, they could check out morganlillian.com ;-) My website is more than just a blog; I’m constantly posting new things under “The Now” which is current fashion news and “Trend Forecast” which I focus on trends for the upcoming season. I really suggest following some of the top bloggers like Chiara Ferragni and Kristina Bazan. Also, I love following Who What Wear on Twitter, they always have great tips and posts on current trends and ideas. Expanding your style is definitely fun, just don’t be scared. Sometimes I like to think the weirder, the better.”
What are your long term career and life goals?
“My top long term goal is to make morganlillian.com my career. On the side of Morgan Lillian, I also do some editorial styling so it would be great to get more into that and maybe do some cool editorial work for some magazines. I also would love to start my own line of something, not sure what yet, but I’ve definitely been putting a lot of thought into that lately for the future.”
