Griffin Lane

Year in school: Junior

Major: Business Administration, Finance

Hometown: Olympia, WA

Relationship status: Single

Favorite part of going to SPU?: Definitely the people and community.

Why did you transfer from UW?: Classes with 700 students and a mezzanine level of seating are a bizarre experience that just wasn’t my cup of tea (possibly because I don’t like tea).

Favorite drink: G&T

Where can we find you on a Friday night?: Let’s be honest, a lot of Fridays I’m working, but if not, you can probably find me drinking beer at the beach.

What do you do for work: I’m a professional freelancer in the broadcast television industry. I both font coordinate and operate a character generator for live sports broadcasts. If you can tell me what either of those mean I’ll be pretty impressed (see question 4).

Favorite hobby: I like taking photos and would like to pursue it professionally, but my favorite part of that hobby is being confused with Griffin Lamb by SPU people. “OMG you’re the guy with 300k Instagram followers!” You were close, only off by about 299,650 – A for effort.

Coolest work experience: So far my coolest work experience was working at the U.S. Open at Chamber’s Bay. That could be far surpassed when in August there’s a chance I’ll be traveling to Rio de Janeiro for 3 weeks to work at the Olympics.
