Local Rohnert Park Food Favorites

Like I’ve said in my article on Groceries On A Budget article, I loveee eating out. I have cut down on the times I buy food, but I still eat out every now and then. Usually, I end up at Pho 90 or the taqueria on the corner of my street. Here are a few recommendations on my favorite restaurants to look at.

Sushi: One of my favorite sushi restaurants is Sushiko. It’s kind of a small location and because of their popularity, it is often rare when there is not a line outside the door. They have so many different rolls and other meals too (it’s not only sushi). My favorite roll is the princess roll, and one of the rolls with salmon and lemon(can’t remember the name). I also always get their house salad and a miso soup. This restaurant isn’t too expensive, but it is also not the cheapest sushi around.

Pho:

Obviously Pho 90. Yes I am addicted. Check out the link below!

Mexican/Salvadoran.

This one is a really close tie. I love both Don Julio’s and Sol Azteca. Don Julio’s is a family owned restaurant that serves both Mexican and Salvadoran food. Their burritos are to die for! They have tons of different options, and some really cool meals like ‘The Pupusa Burger’. The staff is amazing, I feel like I am being served by family when I am there! They also offer a student discount, don’t forget your student ID! Sol Azteca only serves Mexican food, and I usually end up here since it is about a one minute walk from my apartment. They have pretty much every dish you could think of. From chilaquilles, to burritos, to shrimp cocktails, you name it. This place can get busy, so if you are ordering to go I recommend calling about 15 minutes ahead of time. (They also have really good vegetarian burritos!)

Vegetarian Fast Food

This one might be a bit obvious…Amy’s! If you haven’t tried it because you ‘ need meat ‘ , give it a try. They have burritos, burgers, chili cheese fries, shakes etc with the options of vegetarian or vegan. My favorite is their burgers and chili cheese fries. Yum!

Chinese:

Okay… I don’t know about you but I loooovvveee cheap chinese food. My favorite place around here is Hunan’s. For about 8 bucks you get a good amount of food. This place doesn’t have too many vegetarian options, so if you don’t eat meat you might want to try a place like China Wok, where you can substitute any meat.
