She claimed that this specific product gives her a fast and painless trim, without — and this was the big seller — any irritation. I knew I needed to try it.
While the reviews on Amazon looked iffy, they were all written by men, whereas the women commenting on the TikTok clip had made only positive comments. Frankly, I felt the women were likely better judges for my situation. While this was definitely an investment — at $93.75, I considered how much money I had spent in the past on other methods that had either given me unsatisfactory results or were just plain painful.
Unlike disposable razors, this trimmer does not nick your skin — something which inevitably leads to razor burn, ingrown hairs, scarring and other forms of irritation. On top of that, disposable razors have a negative impact on the environment. When a single razor lasts less than 10 shaves, that can add up to several razors per year, all of which end up in a landfill. Meanwhile, Meridian Grooming offers replacement blades to ensure that your trimmer will not go to waste should the original blade dull down or break.
I was pleasantly surprised by the compact and sleek design, as it looked even smaller than it did online. This made it especially easy to hold and manoeuvre. It’s also wireless and waterproof, meaning you can take it into the shower without any issues.
My overall experience was exactly how @maeve.tbh described — fast and painless. As someone who would often immediately feel irritation after shaving or waxing, the painlessness of this product was not just during the shave but lasted long afterwards as well. However, if you’re going for a totally bare look, I wouldn’t recommend Meridian Grooming’s trimmer as it won’t give you quite a close enough shave, but if all you’re looking for is a very short trim, this product is golden.
