Summer is fast approaching. For those of you wondering what to do, a summer in Portland is fantastic! Here are five of the many reasons why you should stay.
1. Weather
Portland’s weather is mild. During the summer, there is usually only one week where the weather gets hotter than 90 degrees.
2. Events
Portland has events just about for everyone. There is the Saturday Market, where a multitude of arts and crafts are exhibited. There are also running events for different charities and a Comic-Con during the summer! From wine tasting, farmer markets, to just taking a walk on 23rd, Portland has just about everything.
3. Location
Portland is located in a great place. Places such as Cannon Beach and the Japanese Garden make for great day trips. There are also many hiking trails nearby.
4. Vibe
The Portland vibe is very relaxed. It’s summer and who doesn’t want to relax after a long, hard semester?
