Pace University is a private liberal arts college with two different campus locations. One in the heart of Manhattan and one in Westchester, just north of New York City. Pace prides itself in its diversity, with students who come from all over the world. The university represents this vast diversity with flags, hung up and down the New York City campus’ main hallway. Each flag is representative of the students that come from that country, either currently attending or having once attended Pace.
With recent events in American government such as the Muslim ban and other hateful acts, Pace decided to reach out to its diverse student body and let them know that they are welcome here. #YouAreWelcomeHere is a video made by the university, showing the diversity of the students, clubs, organizations, faculty and so forth that makes up the Pace community.
Personally, I am proud to attend such a diverse, progressive school like Pace. It is a comforting feeling knowing that no matter a person’s gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious belief, or any other difference they are welcome here.
Check the video out down below and spread the word that #YouAreWelcomeHere at Pace University.
